We meet: 3rd Tues 09:15 at various locations.
We meet from August to June, with an additional evening visit in June to look for Nightjars. We aim keep the group fairly small to aid viewing, and to visit a range of habitats and venues, both local and further afield. Our 2018/2019 outings included some of our local commons, visits to the coast at Farlington Marshes and a visit to the RSPB reserve at Pulborough. The programme for 2019/20 will be broadly similar. We meet: 3rd Tues 14:00-16:00 at St John's Church Hall.
The group has continued to flourish as we have shared our ideas for titles we might like to read, which we vote on twice a year. It's a friendly group with everyone sharing in the discussion and listening to others' views. Our suggestions this year have included mostly Twentieth Century novels as diverse as Kingsley Amis' Lucky Jim and J.G.Farrell's The Hill Station but we have also read biographies and social history. We meet: Tues 14:30-16:30 at The Broadwater Park Community Centre.   Another musically funtastic year with some 72 singers on the books - wow! If you like all sorts of music (pop to choral, easy listening to classical), give us a try. We're already planning Christmas plus something special for Easter 2020. Without help from Ann Stewart (admin) and Matthew Smith (accompanist), life wouldn't be so happy - you can't be sad when you sing. Come and join us if you love singing.
