This year both classes have been well attended as usual, and have produced a variety of articles to a very high standard. Most people don't realise how therapeutic patchwork is, how soothing to sit quietly and produce something in wonderful colours and textures. Do we appreciate how lucky we are to be able to attend classes with friendly people and with Maria to guide and advise?

This is a small discussion group that covers a wide range of subjects from contemporary culture to fine arts. In 2018-19, we hope to widen the range of topics to include more political items and more popular culture. Each topic is introduced briefly by one of the members and then thrown open for discussion. We all learn by examining the unfamiliar as well as the familiar.
We meet: Thurs 14:00‒15:00 at St Mark's Community Centre.
We will be reading simple dialogues in French to expand your vocabulary (most people remember a little French from their school days!). We will also be reviewing how to form the various verb tenses.
We meet: 2nd Thurs 14:00‒16:00 at Scout and Guide Hut.
Last season Milford Puppeteers produced a collection of entertaining characters: a couple of clowns, some royalty, a pirate with parrot, a slender ‘Nippy' from yesteryear, Cruella de Vil and Tina Turner, plus a town crier to keep the peace until the autumn group starts. Stay tuned for the next extravaganza!
