Shrike on Thursley Common - November 2017
Although it started off showery, the weather soon improved and we enjoyed brief views of several Dartford Warblers and Stonechats along the pathways.  There were also Meadow Pipits, Goldfinches, Tit flocks with Crests and sightings of Buzzards and Kestrels.  The greatest excitement came by the Tumulus overlooking Ockley Bog.  At first...

Wednesday April 12, 2017 - Thursley Common

It was a cold grey morning, with a strong westerly wind, when a full house of ten of us met at the Moat. Our main object was to find Dartford Warblers for the three members who had never seen them and we assured them that these birds would be in almost every gorse bush.
