Ambling - October 2019
Puttenham Common to Gatwick and Cut Mill
The weather was rather overcast and rain was forecast, but 8 of us set off anyway. The route was not too muddy despite the amount of rain we've been having. We started from the middle carpark and slowly made our way up to the top carpark via the General's Pond. Then we crossed the road and made out way down to Gatwick, where we had a short stretch of road walking before turning into the woods towards Cut Mill Pond. The rain held off until we got back to the car park. There were lots of interesting fungi on the way and in the spring this is a lovely walk for wildflowers.
