We offer a wide range of courses and activities which usually run from September to May (see the individual groups for their dates). As a member of the Milford & District U3A you can join as many groups as you wish, depending on there being space in the group. Our current programme lists over 50 different groups, with more than 40 individual leaders all offering their time and expertise freely. You can download our current programme here.
The Interest Group activities which we can offer are dependent upon group coordinators coming forward.
If you are interested in a particular subject or activity and are willing to lead a group of enthusiastic people then contact Mike Howseman, our Chairman, on 01483 421810. You don't have to be a teacher and you don't need to know all about your subject already. There is plenty of help and advice available for anyone wishing to set up a new group.
Milford and District U3A organise monthly Friday meetings in Milford Village Hall, when there is a guest speaker. These meetings are open to all, not just U3A members. Following each talk, tea and cakes will be served. Entrance fee £1 with the exception of the AGM in May.
Some of our Friday meetings are preceded by a lunch. If you wish to join the lunch you need to book. details and booking forms are available in the Newsletter and bulletins. These are extremely popular and limited to 50 people so you need to make sure you book early. The cost of the lunch is £4. This is in addition to the entrance fee.
